PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The UnTechEd – Goa Student Wellbeing & Mental Health Leadership Summit 2026, supported by the Goa Education Development Corporation, is a two-day initiative dedicated to strengthening the mental health ecosystem in Goan schools.

Focused on child psychology, emotional wellbeing, safety, abuse prevention, and the evolving role of school counsellors, this summit brings together principals, counsellors, educators, mental health experts, child protection specialists, NGOs, and government representatives.

Through panel discussions, masterclasses, and recognition awards, the summit aims to equip schools with practical tools, updated policies, and collaborative strategies to address the challenges students face today — including stress, bullying, abuse, digital pressures, and mental health concerns.

This initiative reflects Goa’s growing commitment to nurturing safe, supportive, and future-ready school
environments.

Hon’ble Dr. Pramod Sawant, Chief Minister, Goa

We are honoured to announce that Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, will grace the Unteched – Goa Student Wellbeing & Mental Health Leadership Summit 2026 as the Chief Guest. Ms. Sultana Khan is an international education leader with extensive experience in global student mobility, school-university partnerships, immersion programs, and academic collaborations across India, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Australia.

Through UnTechEd, she has curated high-impact platforms that bring together schools, counsellors, universities, corporates, and government bodies to address future-ready education, student wellbeing, and global exposure. This summit reflects her vision of integrating mental health, safety, and global best practices into school education.

Ms. Devika Mangaldas

Counselling Psychologist & Certified Trainer

Ms. Devika Mangaldas is a Counselling Psychologist, internationally certified Behavioural and Soft Skills Trainer, ICF-certified Life Coach, NLP Practitioner, and Certified POSH Trainer with 17+ years of experience in training, mental health, education, research, and social work. She conducts trainings for hospitals, schools, corporates, and webinars, career guidance, parenting sessions, and psychotherapy. Through her initiative, Positive Perception Counselling & Training Services, Goa, she serves clients PAN India and internationally. Her research has been published with UNICEF and the Bombay Psychological Association. She is a World Women Leadership Congress awardee. She believes deeply in lifelong learning.

Catery to HEALTH AND EMOTION

Medical Professional | Psychologist | Sexologist | Academic Resource Person Specialist in Maternal & Child Health, Child Safety & Social Education

She is a senior medical professional, psychologist, and sexologist with over three decades of clinical, academic, and field experience in maternal and child health, child safety, and preventive social education. A cancer survivor who chose service as her life’s work, she has independently and self-sustainably reached 26 lakh children across 56 cities and 16 states through large-scale programs on child sexual abuse prevention, adolescent mental wellbeing, cyber safety and teacher capacity building—Without NGO affiliation or external funding. She has served as a trusted resource and knowledge partner to UNICEF and multiple state governments, working closely with education boards, counselors, parents, educators, and institutional leaders. Her work spans government and non-government initiatives, internal school systems, and nationwide programs, collaborating extensively with corporate houses, MNCs, private organizations, and educational institutions. Through strategic partnerships, capacity-building workshops, curriculum integration, and on-ground interventions, she has delivered programs across diverse regions, impacting schools, institutions, and communities nationwide.

Dr. Priyanka Sahasrabhojanee

Consulting Psychiatrist, Porvorim
Counselling Cell Member – GEDC Scheme

Dr. Priyanka Sahasrabhojanee is a Consulting Psychiatrist based in Porvorim, working across both the government and private healthcare sectors. In addition to her clinical practice, she actively promotes mental health awareness through talks at social, corporate, academic, and medical institutions, as well as through television interviews, print media articles, and mental health support groups. She also serves as a Counselling Cell Member under the GEDC Counselling Scheme.

Aileen de Souza

Lead – Mental Health Programme, Sethu Centre, Goa

Aileen de Souza is part of the interdisciplinary team at the Sethu Centre for Child Development & Family Guidance in Goa. At Sethu, she leads the Mental Health Programme, a family-centered initiative that supports children and families through assessments, mental health services, training, and awareness initiatives. Aileen holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Psychology, with a specialization in Clinical Psychology, from S.N.D.T. Women’s University, Mumbai. She has also completed training in Narrative Therapy at Ummeed Child Development Center (CDC), Mumbai, which has deepened her ability to engage with neurodivergent children and adolescents. Aileen is driven by a passion for fostering resilience in young people and applies a strengths-based approach in her work.

Prachi Khandeparkar

Senior Psychologist, Sangath | GEDC Counselling Cell Member

Prachi Khandeparkar* Psychologist by profession
working in Goa with Sangath since last 27 years. Works closely with govt, national and international institutions and NGOs. Invited as resource person for various capacity building initiatives. undertakes counseling for parents, teachers and students. involved in scaleup of evaluated projects in schools and
community for adolescents in different parts of the country and world.

to create a unified platform where schools, counsellors, educators, psychologists, and government bodies come together with one shared purpose—to build safer, healthier, and more resilient environments for every child.

Highlight the urgent need for structured mental health frameworks in schools, covering child psychology, adolescent wellbeing, child protection, abuse prevention, and age-appropriate sex education.

Through expert-led sessions and masterclasses, the summit will equip counsellors with practical tools, evidencebased strategies, and real-world techniques they can immediately implement.

Encourage School-Level Action

By exploring modern-day challenges—bullying, behavioural issues, academic pressure, digital exposure, harassment, trauma—the event will empower schools to create more proactive and compassionate support systems.

Panel discussions and interactive dialogues will encourage schools and counsellors to share best practices, learn from each other’s experiences, and work collectively on student wellbeing.

The Awards Ceremony will celebrate individuals and institutions who are setting benchmarks in student welfare, counselling, and safeguarding practices.

With the support of the Goa Education Development Corporation, the summit aims to encourage a long-term collaboration model that supports sustainable mental health initiatives in schools across the state.
